{"id":182497,"date":"2026-01-23T10:52:46","date_gmt":"2026-01-23T10:52:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beta-ukri.msappproxy.net\/?page_id=182497"},"modified":"2026-01-23T10:52:46","modified_gmt":"2026-01-23T10:52:46","slug":"if-you-do-not-or-cannot-report","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ukri.org\/manage-your-award\/reporting-your-projects-outcomes\/if-you-do-not-or-cannot-report\/","title":{"rendered":"If you do not or cannot report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Not reporting may affect your award or future funding, but you may be able to get an exemption.<\/p>\n<h3>Consequences of not reporting<\/h3>\n<p>If you do not submit up-to-date information about the outputs, outcomes and impacts of your award when required we may:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>stop you from being the named project lead or co-lead on any future UKRI funding<\/li>\n<li>suspend funding payments for your award<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To learn more about what happens if you do not report,\u202fread the <a href=\"\/publications\/compliance-and-sanctions-policy-on-reporting-research-outcomes\/\">UKRI compliance and sanctions policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Requesting an exemption from reporting<\/h3>\n<p>You may qualify for an exemption from reporting during the upcoming submission period if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>you\u2019re unable to submit reports because of poor health or other personal circumstances (for example, parental leave) during the submission period<\/li>\n<li>you\u2019ve been working in an area without internet access during the submission period<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If either of these apply, ask your research administrator or manager to send an email to <a href=\"mailto:researchoutcomes@funding.ukri.org\">researchoutcomes@funding.ukri.org<\/a> to request an exemption. We assess each exemption request on its own merit.<\/p>\n<p>Research administrators or managers can also ask:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to change the principal reporter for an award<\/li>\n<li>that reporting be closed for an award.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To ask for these exemptions and changes, they will need to read the\u202f<a href=\"\/publications\/researchfish-response-codes-guidance\/\">guidance on Researchfish response codes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Not reporting may affect your award or future funding, but you may be able to get an exemption.
