Our funding opportunities are:<\/p>\n<h2>Researcher-led<\/h2>\n<p>Regular, continuous funding opportunities. Proposals are reviewed at board and panel meetings. Funding is available for any area of science relevant to the MRC, to eligible groups and individuals, offering funding on a range of scales, across career stages, from fundamental to translational research.<\/p>\n<h2>MRC strategic<\/h2>\n<p>Funding opportunities in a specific research area defined by the MRC, usually for a one-off call or a time-limited period. Proposals may have special application and review mechanisms.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ukri-callout-box\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukri.org\/opportunity\/\">Search funding opportunities<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>We also support research through our <a href=\"\/about-us\/mrc\/institutes-units-and-centres\/\">institutes, units and centres<\/a>. Some are highly focused on <a href=\"\/councils\/mrc\/remit-programmes-and-priorities\/\">specific science areas<\/a> overseen by a <a href=\"\/about-us\/mrc\/board-and-panel-membership\/\">board or panel,<\/a> others have a very broad research remit.<\/p>\n<h2>About our funding opportunities<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"\/councils\/mrc\/guidance-for-applicants\/types-of-funding-we-offer\/mrc-industry-collaboration-framework-icf\/\">The MRC Industry Collaboration Framework (ICF)<\/a> replaced the MRC Industry Collaboration Agreement (MICA) process.
