You can find this in your offer document. You do not need to submit a request to transfer funds under these headings. Transfers between other headings are not permitted.<\/p>\n<p>You cannot transfer funding between grants.<\/p>\n<p>If you make savings on equipment purchases, you may be allowed to use this money for other equipment if it comes under the same fund heading.<\/p>\n<p>Funding may only be transferred to support an existing studentship post. If you want to create a new post, you must request it.<\/p>\n<p>Email <a href=\"mailto:grantspostaward@funding.ukri.org\">grantspostaward@funding.ukri.org<\/a> to make a request.<\/p>\n<h4>Innovate UK<\/h4>\n<p>If your project is funded by Innovate UK, contact your monitoring officer to make any changes.<\/p>\n<h3>For studentships or pre-doctoral fellowships<\/h3>\n<p>Except for Disabled Students\u2019 Allowance, money can be transferred between all fund headings, which cover:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>stipends<\/li>\n<li>research training support grants<\/li>\n<li>cohort training or administrative costs (where specifically provided as part of a training grant)<\/li>\n<li>travel and subsistence<\/li>\n<li>tuition fees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Transfers will be at the rate that applies to the fund heading. You can find this in your offer document.<\/p>\n<h3>If we query a transfer of funds<\/h3>\n<p>Occasionally we may query the costs submitted as part of a project\u2019s final expenditure statement. This could be because:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>it relates to the transfer of funding between fund headings that are not specified in this guidance<\/li>\n<li>we asked you to seek permission and you did not<\/li>\n<li>we feel the spend has not been incurred in line with the funding terms and conditions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We will contact the research office if we need more information.
