You can also access expertise and specialist equipment to develop prototypes and products.<\/p>\n<p>Businesses of any size can apply for funding, as long as they\u2019re based in the UK. Funding ranges from \u00a325,000 to \u00a310 million.<\/p>\n<p>UK-based SMEs can also apply for innovation loans of between \u00a3100,000 and \u00a31 million.<\/p>\n<p>UKRI takes an investment-driven approach. This means focusing on businesses with the ambition and potential to commercialise their ideas. We identify companies which, with our support, can maximise the return on our investment to the UK\u2019s economy and society.<\/p>\n<p>You can apply for funding if you want to do one or more of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>test the feasibility of your idea and make sure it will work<\/li>\n<li>create a new product, process or service, or improve an existing one, through research and development<\/li>\n<li>work with other businesses or research organisations on collaborative projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"ukri-callout-box\">\n<p><a href=\"\/opportunity\/\">Search our Funding finder for opportunities<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Find partners through UKRI\u2019s networking initiatives and tools<\/h3>\n<p>Businesses can also partner with a researcher or research organisation to apply for funds that need a research lead rather than a business lead.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/konfer.online\/\">Search konfer<\/a> to find experts or institutions to partner with and collaborate on funding opportunities.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ktn-uk.org\/\">Use the Knowledge Transfer Network to find researchers across all sectors<\/a>.
