In addition, we facilitate UK access to several high-profile international science collaborations and scientific infrastructure.<\/p>\n<h2>National campuses<\/h2>\n<p>STFC operates two major research and innovation campuses at Harwell and Daresbury which are home to various cutting-edge science facilities, groups and businesses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/who-we-are\/stfc\/facilities\/rutherford-appleton-laboratory\/\">Rutherford Appleton Laboratory<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/who-we-are\/stfc\/facilities\/daresbury-laboratory\/\">Daresbury Laboratory<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>National Laboratories<\/h2>\n<p>The National Laboratories provide research facilities and capabilities that, because of their scale, complexity, and strategic role in the UK\u2019s research and innovation ecosystem, are appropriately operated as a national research resource. They provide access for external users to advanced scientific techniques, in some cases found nowhere else in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>The National Laboratories are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.astec.stfc.ac.uk\/Pages\/home.aspx\">Accelerator Science and Technology Centre<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clf.stfc.ac.uk\/Pages\/home.aspx\">Central Laser Facility<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hartree.stfc.ac.uk\/\">Hartree Centre<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.isis.stfc.ac.uk\/Pages\/home.aspx\">ISIS Neutron and Muon Source<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nqcc.ac.uk\/\">National Quantum Computing Centre<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ppd.stfc.ac.uk\/Pages\/home.aspx\">Particle Physics Department<\/a> including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boulby.stfc.ac.uk\/Pages\/home.aspx\">Boulby Underground Laboratory<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ralspace.stfc.ac.uk\/Pages\/home.aspx\">RAL Space<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scd.stfc.ac.uk\/Pages\/home.aspx\">Scientific Computing Department<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.technology.stfc.ac.uk\/Pages\/Homepage.aspx\">Technology Department<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/who-we-are\/stfc\/facilities\/royal-observatory-edinburgh\/uk-astronomy-technology-centre\/\">UK Astronomy Technology Centre<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Other facilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cockcroft.ac.uk\/\">The Cockroft Institute<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rc-harwell.ac.uk\/\">Research Complex at Harwell<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Conference facilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/who-we-are\/stfc\/facilities\/rutherford-appleton-laboratory\/ridgeway-house\/\">Ridgeway House<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/who-we-are\/stfc\/facilities\/rutherford-appleton-laboratory\/the-coseners-house\/\">The Cosener\u2019s House<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>International collaborations and facilities<\/h2>\n<p>We also facilitate UK involvement in several international science collaborations. We see our many partners around the world as a trusted and valued part of our team, and as one that adds an extra dimension to our mission, the way we work and what we\u2019re capable of achieving.
