This collaboration supports more than 260 individual projects, funded by over 15 funding agencies, bringing together more than 220 lead institutions from the UK and India.<\/p>\n<p>These projects have generated more than \u00a3450 million in further funding, mainly from public bodies but also from non-profit organisations and commercial entities, attesting the relevance of these projects.<\/p>\n<p>Our office is based at the British High Commission, New Delhi. We work with other UK government departments and partners including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishcouncil.in\/\">British Council<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/world\/organisations\/uk-science-innovation-network-in-india\">UK Science and Innovation Network, India<\/a><\/li>\n<li>the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/department-for-international-trade\">Department for International Trade<\/a><\/li>\n<li>the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/foreign-commonwealth-development-office\">Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The aim is to link interests to maximise UK-India research, innovation, technology and enterprise goals.<\/p>\n<h3>Fifteen years in India: transforming tomorrow together<\/h3>\n<p>In October 2023, the UKRI India team celebrated the 15th anniversary of our office\u2019s establishment and 15 years of many shared successes with our Indian partners.<\/p>\n<p>To commemorate our founding, we are excited to share with you our 15th anniversary brochure: <a href=\"\/publications\/fifteen-years-in-india-transforming-tomorrow-together\">Transforming tomorrow together, celebrating 15 years of UKRI India<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Our brochure highlights how UKRI India and our partners continuously foster and strengthen research collaboration so that we can transform tomorrow together.<\/p>\n<h3>Partnerships for growth<\/h3>\n<p>A report, backed up by independent research from Elsevier, lays bare the impact of UKRI India in enhancing the UK-India research and innovation relationship.<\/p>\n<p>UKRI India funded projects have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>featured in 1,665 publications, as indexed in Scopus<\/li>\n<li>had an average field-weighted impact citation of 2.2, twice the global average<\/li>\n<li>resulted in the development of over 200 technical products<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Read <a href=\"\/publications\/uk-india-partnerships-for-growth-with-research-and-innovation\/\">UK-India: partnerships for growth with research and innovation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Engaging with India<\/h3>\n<p>UKRI India is actively engaged with India\u2019s major public-sector research and innovation funders.<\/p>\n<p>These include the:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Department of Atomic Energy (DAE)<\/li>\n<li>Department of Biotechnology (DBT)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/dst.gov.in\/\">Department of Science and Technology (DST)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)<\/li>\n<li>Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR)<\/li>\n<li>Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.icssr.org\/\">Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/moes.gov.in\/\">Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Find funding opportunities<\/h3>\n<p>If you\u2019re a researcher or business in the UK or India, we run some international opportunities that you may be eligible for.
