Most of it ends up in landfill.<\/p>\n<p>Sanne Visser, a material design PhD researcher, is working with\u202flocal hairdressers to gather hair and develop systems which will enable this resource to be effectively utilised.<\/p>\n<p>Sanne is one of the 2021 to 2022 Design Researchers in Residence at the Design Museum. This initiative is part of the Arts and Humanities Research Council-supported Future Observatory, a national programme for design research supporting the UK\u2019s response to the climate crisis.
